This flick tells the story of Michael Peterson, a man who has been in prison for more than 30 years for his violent tendencies. From his younger days in school to his later criminal exploits, we see him evolve into his alter ego: Charles Bronson. The movie follows his journey as he becomes one of the UK’s most notorious criminals.
The storyline is full of twists and turns that keep the audience on their toes. From the first few minutes of the movie, we see Michael’s unpredictable behavior. He seems to have a natural inclination towards violence; his outbursts at school are only the beginning. However, what I found really interesting was how this persona named Charles Bronson takes over him.
Tom Hardy’s portrayal of Michael Peterson/Charles Bronson is something else entirely. His acting is so convincing that it’s almost hard to believe it’s just an act. You can feel every emotion he goes through as he tries to come to terms with who he is – an extreme version of himself.
